About Us
Angela
Having grown up in a household where reading was the norm, I had never thought about books as anything other than necessary for survival; I never had to be persuaded against scrolling, because I always had something better to do.
However, when I met my husband, who (at the time) argued that movies were superior to books in every way, I began to realize that my perspective was unusual. Over the years, as we discussed the realities of phone addiction and how to raise our daughter in a digital landscape, we uncovered research on the true negative effects of poor digital health: damage not only to the attention span, but to memory, day-to-day cognition, and so much else.
That's when we decided to form this program. I am so hyped to help people with what we've learned.

Before we started this program, I was your average professional twenty-something. I started a modest six-figure company out of high school, let it go, switched career paths. At the time, it seemed like the proper thing to do, and, in an effort to be a proper Catholic husband, I did it.
But, I spent the next few years of marriage uneasy, anxious, and trying desperately to regain the confidence I once had. My old work habits simply tired me out. And as I began to reflect on myself, on my life, even the state of my soul, I discovered the world of digital minimalism.
Now, I’m here to help other people put those habits in place and spend less time wondering where they went wrong and more time moving forward. Because, as crazy as it may sound, I found that it really is that simple.

Our Catholic Identity
As Roman Catholics, we created Hi Society with our faith in mind. Not because the program is about religion or only for people who are Catholic, but because as its founders, our faith provides the logical basis for its existence. We believe that each and every one of us were created by God, for a purpose, and we hope that with the methods you learn in this program, you will be able to achieve that unique purpose.
